A skill that allows for loading up the erg of a mirage, which has been developed by using mana, on a bow and shooting. This skill can potentially incur great damages on a multitude of enemies. The enemy that is hit with the mirage missile falls into a kind of shock state, as if fallen into a mirage in the middle of a sandy desert. The enemy's HP will fall significantly, and infect any others nearby with the same symptoms. As low as the HP may get, however, it will not fall below 1.

Details

  • Elf-only skill.
  • Requires a Bow or Crossbow and their respective Missile equipped in order to use.
  • Fires an arrow/bolt that "shocks" or poisons the target, steadily draining their HP over time while decreasing their Movement Speed. The poison can spread to other nearby enemies.
    • The shock/poison effect is not to be confused with Shock/Poison Attack.
    • Shock damage can be increased with higher Intelligence.
    • If the target is killed by the arrow/bolt, the shock effect will still spread to surrounding enemies, however the killing blow may knock the enemy away from others and outside of the shock range.
    • Shock damage ticks every 3 seconds.
    • The shock effect will also spread to nearby monsters in "sleep" states (e.g. Mimics, Sulfur Golems, etc.) without "waking" them.
    • Shock damage cannot score criticals.
    • Shock damage cannot lower a target's HP below 1.
    • Shock damage is still reduced by Defense/Protection stats and Natural Shield (Monster) and can be completely negated if the target has more defense than damage done by the skill; no damage is displayed nor dealt.
      • This damage reduction is calculated as (Mirage Missile Max Damage - Enemy Defense) * (1 - Enemy Protection).
      • Enemies with level 3 Natural Shield are likewise immune to Mirage Missile's shock damage.
    • Shock damage does not stack, regardless of how many people use it on the same target.
    • Shock damage bypasses Mana Shield and Invulnerability.
    • Shock damage is not reduced by Commerce status.
    • Shock damage will not occur if the target uses Defense against it.
  • Barrier Spikes can be infected.
  • Aim speed is dependent on the player's Elf Ranged Attack rank and can be furthered by Final Shot.
  • The player must remain stationary to aim Mirage Missile, unlike Elf Ranged Attack.
  • While loaded, the player will be forced to walk.
  • Some monsters may not aggro if hit by Mirage Missile.
    • The shock damage also has no effect on the monster's aggro state.
  • As a Ranged ability, the missile can be shunted by Natural Shield and be dodged by Evasion.

Skill Issues

  • Infecting a player via PvP may cause all players, including those who are not in PvP as well as the user, to receive shock damage if they are in range.

Training Method

Tips

  • Having another player use Enthralling Performance will allow multiple monsters group up in a single area, allowing for easier training with multiple hits.
  • Areas of interest for large amount of spawns may include:
    • Brown Foxes at northern Tir Chonaill, on the way to Alby Dungeon.
    • The lobby area and the middle rooms of The Sulfur Spider inside Shadow Realm
      • Summoning area of effect summon pets and/or using Lullaby beforehand will help keep the spiders in place as the player uses Mirage Missile.
    • The Other Alchemist's middle room.
    • Fennec Foxes outside Filia's southwestern Outskirts.
    • Raccoons north of the Logging Camp in Dugald Aisle.
    • Shyllien Nature Reserve Outskirts 2 in front of the giant crystal deposit.
    • Hillwen Mine B3 in front of the giant ore deposit.
      • Keep in mind that in both the Hillwen Mine and Shyllien Nature Reserve have extremely powerful mobs and may overwhelm you if precautions are not taken.
    • Offering
      • Beware that after the 3rd wave spawns the mission will automatically fail on next spawn.
    • Tir Na Nog Graveyard
      • If you circle the zombies they will bunch into a tight group. After Mirage Missile wears off, you can re-apply it to the same group.
