Effects

Stun

Push-Back

Knockdown

  • The opponent will (fly back and) be knocked down and have to get up.
    • The time it takes for an enemy to get up is longer than a knock back.
    • If the opponent is downed or knock-backed, any hit will knock them down, but their recovery time will be reduced.
    • Advanced Heavy Stander negates knockdown.
    • Defense, Counterattack, and Lance Counter can be used while receiving a knockdown.
    • Most Melee and Puppetry skills causes the knocked down target to gain temporary invincibility and cannot be attacked until they begin to get back up.
    • Receiving a knockdown with an Egg or Golden Egg in the player's inventory may cause it to break.

Block

  • When the enemy uses the Defense skill, they will block the hit, thus placing the stun on the attacker and giving the defender a chance to react.
    • Try to avoid activating this as it can prove quite deadly.
  • Skills/attacks that cause Blocking:
    • Windmill or Normal Attack on a Defense.
      • Use Smash, Firebolt, or Magnum Shot to penetrate the Defense.
        • It should be noted that using Magnum Shot on an enemy with a shield (using Defense) may some times result in no knock down occurring, and retaliation coming quickly.
