Chat Action-Block Edit

'This function intervenes with the master attempting to use Healing or First Aid as well as "gifting" potions/food to the partner. In order to use said skills, the master must right-click on the Partner and click the button labeled "Use Skill"; in the case of food, click the button "Feed Pet" and select the item desired. Alternatively, one may disable the Partner's ability to converse by right-clicking them and selecting "Chat Off".'

Since I have returned to play since September '17, this is no longer true.

Anyone care to confirm and/or have a more concrete day than 'between 2014 and 2017'?

Bronzebreak (talk)21:13, 18 February 2018

Just tried it and yeah, can heal them with it on now.

No clue when it changed but it was probably in 2016-2018?

Would definitely encourage you to add that. To Repairs as well.

I can update the weapon template if it needs to be, but these two pages should be easy. EyesClosed

Can you give a partner a chain blade to equip?

I'm not sure if there is still weapon limitations, but the partners are modeled after player characters. But the insane range and stun time of these weapons would let your partner pets to be unstoppable as a stunning machine.

Dra6o0n (talk)01:27, 17 December 2017

they at the very least would only have the basic attack and thats it

Shanedragonsteel (talk)12:17, 17 December 2017

You can't gift them to partners, doesn't show up in the list. :<

Missmeliss (talk)12:36, 17 December 2017

They're considered two-handed weapons, so nope.

Commerce Partner and Laighlinne Personalities

Edited by author.
Last edit: 20:39, 8 January 2016

So I checked their character creations, unlike Butler and Maid, there is no "give them a personality" option; it simply goes server -> name -> appearance, without personality thereafter. That being said, where did CP's "Playful" personality come from? Where does Laighlinne's personality (if she has any) come from?

Infodude575 (talk)09:52, 8 January 2016

Doesn't answer my question.

Infodude575 (talk)17:21, 8 January 2016

I think he's trying to say how did people find out it was playful specifically and not some other personality?

I personally haven't looked into it myself and don't really intend to yet.

Kapra - (Talk)20:26, 8 January 2016

This is just a guess, but the playful personality is probably something someone made up to fit the personality field when trying to copy the previous partner tables. We might just want to remove that field for those two if that's the case since neither of those characters have personality choices and use a default one, as iDSd seems to be trying to say.

Blargel (talk)15:45, 11 January 2016

Same music and movements as a commerce partner. I think.

Meru (talk)17:14, 11 January 2016

Added in by User:Kiyoura in September 2012, shortly after she came to NA. Perhaps Nexon said something about it in her announcement that's lost to history?

Infodude575 (talk)18:34, 11 January 2016

They would be able to compare Lang's questionable personality with one of a partner they know is "playful." That's my assumption on the matter. So pretty much what Meru said. I personally have yet to get the partner so I don't have approximate certainty of my theory.

Blackjackz21:28, 18 January 2016

Partner Gathering quests.

"Completion of the delivery objective allows the use of items from other sources, such as other players or items gathered before the starting the quest."

What does this mean ?-?

Sakura502 (talk)20:43, 12 January 2016

While awkward, I believe it references the fact that you can gather all the quest required materials before obtaining the quest. That is (for example), the quest does not force you to gather 50 base herbs, just deliver them.

Shroom Fonzerelli (talk)14:53, 13 January 2016

Basically what shroom said. Obtaining said materials before the quests and from other players via player shops and such.

Extra Gather Glitched?

I was able to gather with my Maid partner at 0 disposition and I did get two items instead of one, tested it on several things like potatoes, corn, wheat, Dye Jars from the Dye Well, herbs...

Can anyone else confirm?

Quests Glitched?

Maid: Clear Shadow Cast City

I just did that on basic while having her sit down at the beginning. I talked to her, nothing happened. I checked my quest log and nothing changed as if I didn't clear SCC. Then I went "Ah screw it" and unsummoned her >.>

Giving Inedible Foods

I gave my maid an Angler Fish, which "cannot be eaten raw", and Salmon and Bluefin Tuna also show up on items to gift. A Shrimp and Salt didn't appear, though.

It looks like there isn't a restriction to giving them some inedible foods. Is it just to fish, I wonder?

Infodude575 (talk)20:42, 23 February 2014

It's probably just what can be given to other pets

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)00:36, 24 February 2014

Given as in "Feed Pet"? I get "No adequate item exists" message with any inedible fish in my inventory.

Infodude575 (talk)02:00, 24 February 2014

Give as in Feed Seal.

Incompatible item list?

Me and some friends in game have noticed that our partners will not take items that they don't seem to have any reason not to take, for example items that are not character bound or magic clothing. I was wondering if anyone had any objections to me putting a section on the individual partner pages that would show what items are incompatible or not?

Miyani (talk)23:30, 30 November 2013

The specific limitations of gifted equipment are as follows. They are unable to wear Light Armor, Heavy Armor, Magical Clothing, anything Personalized for the owner (unless it is a Personalizing Enchant, which can still be removed from their possession), or any Two-Handed Weapon.

Have you and your pals tried to give them the above?

Infodude575 (talk)23:57, 30 November 2013

I think they also need room in their inventory for their old clothes too.

Meru (talk)00:07, 1 December 2013

IIRC and if it still applies, the item must be in your normal inventory, too; it can't be in an item bag (and VIP?).

Ikkisuki (talk)00:09, 1 December 2013

All of the conditions are met, they seem to refuse random items and say it isn't a good fit. I have a theory it might be related to their personality which is why I wanted to put the section in, it would also save people from buying items for their partner that they won't accept.

The items were not light or heavy armor, were not personalized, and were in the main inventory. I've also noticed a strange issue where my partner would accept certain accessories that my friend's partners would not.

I have made up a template in my sand box if anyone wants to see (though keep in mind there is no accuracy to the template, it's just an example).

Miyani (talk)00:19, 1 December 2013

Just what items were you guys trying to give them?

Infodude575 (talk)02:40, 1 December 2013

I believe he tried to give Alice shoes to his and it was rejected, I haven't tested them on mine however.

Miyani (talk)04:26, 1 December 2013

Giving them Demon Weapons?

What happens if they receive ^?

Infodude575 (talk)14:11, 7 September 2013

I would assume it would be like Dowra and Lelach where they have no Fighter Talent but they can still equip it (albeit it cannot be removed as well). But why don't you be a good boy and test it to see?

鍾国豪-BIassreiter (talk)15:24, 7 September 2013

You probably can remove them. You cannot remove them in RPs because you cannot remove weapons in RPs.

まそっぷ ! (talk)16:13, 7 September 2013

I don't have NX. Also, Demon Knuckles are two-handed weapons, and they can't be given such.

"Ideal Look" Keyword

Does anyone know if partners have a response to the ideal keyword from g2?

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)00:16, 11 June 2013

I'm going to assume not since they have a very small frame of things they respond to.

Zugon (Talk | contribs)01:52, 11 June 2013

I wasn't looking for assumptions.

Sozen Cratos Focker (talk)03:17, 11 June 2013

I seriously doubt it...

Infodude575 (talk)11:34, 11 June 2013

Just attempted. They do not have a special dialogue for the keyword.

Gamyu Wizard Robe Armor

Should we note somewhere that outfits can be gifted to partners as long it is tagged as a "Clothing" like the Gamyu Wizard Robe Armor which is both clothing and light armor (one-accessory-only light armor rule also still applies on partners)?

Dias (talk)07:57, 12 June 2013

4th partner

Poking around on the Japanese wiki, I found a 4th partner [1] but it seems to be only a clone of Commerce Partner with different looks.

Angevon (Talk)11:27, 28 December 2012
  • Different outfit & New Hairstyle
  • See Video: [1]
    • Ability to apply the +50% Movement Speed Bonus without having to directly Mount. The "Mount" button still has to be pressed, but the Partner doesn't actually go on the player, which leaves the player free to attack and the like
      • As shown at 2:34, the Movement Speed Bonus is not limited to any area so long as the Partner is Summoned
Starpaw7 (talk)11:52, 28 December 2012

Also, remember, Japan never had Commerce partner so this is new to them. They instead had Menma which other servers didn't get due to legal rights.

Pyro - (Talk)22:49, 28 December 2012

Wasn't Memna just this partner with a different name?

No. Memna was the same as the Commerce Partner. This Partner is different.

Starpaw7 (talk)23:00, 28 December 2012

By "this partner" I meant "the one we have right now". Sorry for not being specific.

I see, and that is fine. Memna was the same as the Commerce Partner that we have now, except for different looks and outfit.

This one seems to be more useful if everything else is the same (as it looks to be).

Maid Accessory Repair

I have a max disposition (247 disposition) with a conceited maid and her accessory repair is not 99% as currently suggested by this page. Does anyone have a max disposition maid of another personality type? I have a feeling that 98% is the real max but I want to be sure that it's not affected by personality type before editing.

Blargel (talk)23:17, 22 December 2012

Warm Maid: 99%.

Infodude575 (talk)23:45, 22 December 2012

Not all personalities can gain 99%, sorry.

Pyro - (Talk)01:26, 23 December 2012

What ever happen to the section with what personality gets what %?

It's not here nor on the respective partner pages..

I think it was like removed first thing, after the huge edit spams when the first came out in NA.

Pyro - (Talk)01:43, 23 December 2012

Partner vs Commerce Partner

Since I don't have a commerce partner, and don't plan to get one, I can't really change this page properly...

but what if instead of changing the headers of the page, we list exclusive parts as "Butler/Maid-exclusive Feature" and "Commerce Partner-exclusive Feature" somewhere in the section?

Well, I just got one myself. I'll play around with her for a couple weeks and decide what works best. Unless someone does it first. =P

Disposition Gain for Remaining Summoned?

Sometimes I notice my partners gaining one disposition point without any sort of input on my end after they remain summoned for a prolonged period of time (usually while I'm attempting to do the harder quests).

For example, today, my partner gave me a quest to deliver 20 silver ingots. Normally, I'd scoff at this kind of request, but since I had nearly full summon time, I thought I'd be able to do it if I do metallurgy without stopping and perhaps get a huge lucky finish (I did, but for copper >>;). While I was doing this. I constantly checked on her status and disposition to make sure she didn't lose any for starving. Around the "110-100 min. remaining" mark her disposition changed, but it was increased by one point, to my surprise. Same thing happen at around "50 min. remaining."

From what I can gather it seems that for roughly every hour they remained summoned, they gain one disposition point for just being out.

Has anyone else looked into this yet? Like whether or not this is a glitch in the system or if it has been pointed out by foreign players who've had partners for a while.

Vance06:51, 21 July 2012

After the second day of keeping watch on this passive disposition gain, I can confirm that the increase occurs only by keeping them summoned in one session as opposed to being based on how much summoning time was used overall in the day. Summoning her during the afternoon for about 10-20 minutes, desummoning her, and then summoning her again later at the midnight to see how it would affect the increases resulted at around 90 min. summoning time remaining and around 40 min. summoning time remaining.

Another session timing the increases should be enough to warrant adding it to the table, unless someone else comes in before I do so saying this isn't intentional.

Vance15:45, 22 July 2012

Alright. I can confirm that disposition increases every 60 consecutive minutes. I summoned my maid with the full 180 minutes of summoning time and gained disposition at the 120 and 60 min. remaining marks.

Since I'm guessing the lack of responses means no one knows whether or not this is on purpose (since it wasn't listed as a method of disposition gain in Mabidata), I'm just going to throw this in the table.

Vance16:29, 23 July 2012

Doesn't sound like something you could do on accident... lol.

I attempted this yesterday.... Left my maid out... Forgot to feed it... QQ

Ke-fun16:32, 23 July 2012

Well, here's the thing; we know that the stress meter seems to be glitchy, so it's possible that disposition meter is, too, even if the hypothetical glitch in this case would be beneficial rather than detrimental. I just wanted to make sure since no one has said anything about this until now.

Vance16:36, 23 July 2012

Okay, new information. My maid was at 131 disposition, and rather than gain a point by having her summoned for 60 minutes, I lost a point and it went down to 130 instead.

New theory: Rather than a flat-out bonus, keeping a partner summoned is an action that slowly adds or subtracts favor points in order to return the maid's disposition to its initial value of 120 (which was pegged down to zero with their first summon).

Once again, I would like some help testing this out. I need someone with a partner below 120 disposition and someone with a partner above 120 disposition (I'll do it again if necessary, but it's a good idea to verify it with a different user and partner).

However, if possible, someone with a partner at exactly 120 would be ideal. If the partner at 120 were to remained summoned for 60 straight minutes and see no disposition increase or decrease, then that will confirm the theory by itself and eliminate the need for the other two partners to go through their tests more than once.

And someone else can do the TL;DR stuff. I have no idea how I can possibly make that shorter without taking out necessary details. >>;;

Vance01:39, 30 July 2012

Are you sure you didnt lose 2 to hunger and then gained 1 back for summon? lol

I'm sure. I desummoned after using up 63 minutes of summoning time. Before this, I fed her a slice of meat when her hunger hit 65% Hunger is currently 80%. Not to mention that I wasn't idling with her. The moment hunger hits at 55% and the favor loss and stress gains are initiated, your partner will always make a comment on how you're letting him/her starve.

Vance01:55, 30 July 2012

Disposition stayed at 120 from 180min summon time to 113min time left for my maid.

Trinhrich14:35, 30 July 2012

Thank you so much, Trinhrich. That almost proves my theory.

We still need data from partners below and above 120, though now not just for testing out my hypothesis, but to add credibility to everything I've said in this entire thread as well, since I just realized that with the exception of Trinhrich's input, all information on this passive disposition change is a result of my own independent research alone, and thus has questionable credibility until others examine it as well. Kevin/Ikkisuki came close to that by admitting to trying, but ended up with an additional blunder of allowing his partner to starve by accident, inadvertently obscuring what he had gained. If a few people can quickly admit to trying what I said in this thread and observing it work, that will be enough.

Vance16:25, 30 July 2012

I will be testing the effects of a 60 minute summon session, my maid is currently disposition 99, stress 0, hunger levels are between 90% and 100%.

Grainvon05:07, 2 August 2012

What disposition exactly is required to marry your partner

Grainvon05:30, 2 August 2012

After 60 minutes of being summoned my partner gained 1 disposition point

Grainvon05:48, 2 August 2012

I'm going to test this on my butler having him protect a personal shop so he wouldn't lose summon time and see if it'll work. I'll also test my maids and butler on other characters who I don't care if they lose disposition in case I accidentally starve them.

Frozendream13:58, 2 August 2012

After an hour my butler went from 54 to 55 while summoned to protect my personal shop. I was watching the game for a minute before it would have been an hour and it didn't show the green text like it normally would after giving a gift or summoning for the first time that day. Regardless this is a way to earn disposition without losing summoning time as long as you have a lot of food and can check back every once in a while.

Frozendream14:46, 2 August 2012

Here: http://youtu.be/1wmumO6D6mc

The video itself is still being processed at the time of this post, but here's video proof of disposition decreasing while summoned when it is above 120, for those who might want/need it (lolprobablynoone). I say this in the description, but I apologize for leaving my music on during recording. Why the recording program built in Mabi records noise from all other programs is beyond me. XP

Vance04:50, 17 August 2012

Revamp of Partner Special Abilities Section

I believe it needs one, at least. A "can" and "cannot" list is not exactly efficient for a wiki page.

I attempted a reorganization of the compiled information. It's not quite done yet, but you can find it in my Sandbox here. Comment on it here, make your own edits to reword things there, I don't mind.

My main concern is the information regarding the partner quest system, since the information was duplicated in the "Quests" section. Should all the information be in "Special Abilities" section (leaving the Quests section with only the quest data) or the other way around?

Also, can someone here confirm the whole "marrying your partner" thing? So far, all I've been going by is hearsay.

Vance19:28, 14 August 2012

It looks good to me. It's definitely a lot more organized, and I like how you didn't use too many bullet points -- the current page seems to be overloaded with them.

Angevon (Talk)20:19, 14 August 2012

Okay...I should probably say this here; I'm going to downplay the whole Partner Proposal thing in my revision of this section until we know more about it. Because apparently from Solar's personal experience, they reject you/put the matter on hold no matter what? (Yes, I finally decided to look through the mess of previous discussion topics from weeks ago and found out just now. Thanks for not editing in that semi-important piece of information, guys. LOL XD)

I'll shove it in the Miscellaneous Features sub-section for the time being with a description of how it works according to how Solar described it. Unless someone found something out about it after Solar made that forum post (which was July 10)?

Shame if it's true, though. For all the ronery people, at least. /jk ;P

Vance03:35, 15 August 2012

Default Pose Changes

Alright has anyone else gotten any changes to their partner's default pose due to reaching a certain level of disposition yet?

I want to compile all information in its own bullet point and subpoints after hearing what everyone has to say and determining whether poses are attached just gender or personality.

To start off, my conceited maid changed her pose to Shayla's at exactly 130. I also noticed she started bowing to me when summoning her at this point, though I'm not sure if she started doing so beforehand.

Vance01:39, 29 July 2012

Receiving gifts

I have a conceited maid that won't give me gifts at 50 disposition. I'll continue trying as I raise her disposition to see when she caves in, lol.

Blargel00:19, 15 July 2012

My butler is 50+ disposition with stoic personality I think it needs to be a bit higher for other personalities since my friend gets gifts at 50.

Jragon011:20, 15 July 2012

Nexon must have fked that up, too...

Infodude57511:23, 15 July 2012

Maybe or maybe not. I'm trying to reach 60 and see if it would work.

Jragon012:15, 15 July 2012

My maid has 52 disposition (warm personality) and won't give me a gift.

Frozendream11:22, 16 July 2012

I'm 90% sure this has nothing to do with personality.

Pyro - (Talk)12:25, 16 July 2012

Well we still need more results since most of my friends can get stuff at 50+ mines at 57 already got nothing.

Jragon012:29, 16 July 2012

You've actually had evidence of people getting stuff at 50? I haven't seen a successful report yet. Are you sure they weren't like 65+?

Pyro - (Talk)12:35, 16 July 2012

Asked my friend he told me 52 got red upgrade stone from his maid. But so far mine got nothing.

Jragon014:57, 16 July 2012

Any idea if it's related to the salary that's paid to the partners?

Dra6o0n00:36, 18 July 2012

I've paid mine 50k both weekends.

Frozendream00:48, 18 July 2012

No. It has nothing to do with the salary.

At 60 disposition, my conceited maid has changed her rejection message, but still will not give me a gift. However, the new rejection message makes it sound like she's starting to change her mind at least.

Blargel20:30, 19 July 2012

Probably varies by personality. My maid has "Clumsy" personality, but started giving me gifts ever since she hit 50 disposition.

Piamette00:58, 21 July 2012

My warm maid finally gave me a present when she got to 73 disposition (might have given at 70 but I went from 63->73 with payday) Whenever I complete a quest it always says she wants better armor. Maybe if you give them certain presents they're more likely to give you a present at 50?

Frozendream01:51, 21 July 2012

GIV HUR ARMURRRRR.

Ke-fun02:11, 21 July 2012

My conceited maid has also started me giving me gifts at around 70 Disposition.

Vance02:49, 21 July 2012

As did mine. 69 -> 79 and I started getting gifts. 70 is the safe assumption. I do believe it's based off of personality so I guess each personality has its ups and downs. Clumsy gives gifts earlier but is crappier at repairs. Not sure what the difference between Warm and Conceited is yet... and someone still needs to do research on butlers, lol.

Blargel03:49, 21 July 2012

Stoic butler Dispostion lvl: 79 First gift. So it's roughly around the 70s.

Jragon014:00, 21 July 2012

Some personalities get it in the 50s.

Pyro - (Talk)14:24, 21 July 2012

I have an aggressive butler and I only got gifts at 70+ o_o

Miyukari04:26, 24 July 2012

It's pretty well-known that the threshold for when they'll give gifts is based on personality. Mabination users discovered this ages ago.

Just saying.
