At first, the Milletian is told by Morrighan to look for Lugh in order to continue their path, and is hinted to look for Redire to find the Knight of Light. Nele directs them to Price, saying he had ties to Redire.
Price tells the Milletian to head into Fiodh Dungeon by using an Old Cloth with Design. However, they find a Ghost of Lugh. Heading back to Price, he states that Redire was barely comparable to Lugh, and that he was just an ordinary Human who died by Morgant's hand. However, Craig says he was far more superior than Morgant and died by an entirely different thing.
Afterwards, Price advises the Milletian to do "Good Deeds" in order to become a Paladin. He recommends Food for the Soul of Good Deeds from Aeira. During the progress of "Good Deeds," the Milletian learns that Aranwen once fell-in love with Redire, and he apparently returned the feelings. One day, she received a love letter telling her to meet him in Gairech Hills, however, the Tragedy of Emain Macha had occurred simultaneously, and Redire quickly rushed back to his town. According to Aranwen, Redire fled the scene and she believes that he opted to save himself instead of others, disobeying the duty of a Paladin. She had quit her job at Emain Macha prior to these events.
The true meaning of a "Good Deed" is to protect the happiness of others; those who cannot do not deserve the title of a Paladin, to which Price agrees. He then gives the Milletian a Broken Bolt to be placed on Coill Dungeon, revealing the true events of Redire's past.
Returning to Price, he admits to being Redire and had walked away from the path of the Paladin, blaming that the Tragedy of Emain Macha was his fault. He then explains that his subordinates helped him escape. He tried to wash away his disgrace by faking his death, but when his subordinates tell him that the whole thing was a ploy created by Esras, he decided to live. Eventually, the subordinate the helped him escape informed him that Esras was scheming something, therefore Redire became "Price", a traveling merchant attempting to uncover Esras's plots in order to wash away his 'sins.' As he came back to Emain Macha, people only viewed him as a merchant and was startled by the fact that people believed Redire was dead. Redire then views the Milletian as a friend, and the two go their separate ways, continuing their duties.
After a long time, the Milletian informs Redire about the Spirit of Order skill, transforming into the "True" Paladin, which intrigues the old Paladin. Redire then requests the Milletian to aid him, for he has found information of Esras's plots, but is insufficient to label her as a criminal.
He then provides the Milletian a Letter Box from Redire, a pack of letters which was sealed off by magic. Redire requests the Milletian to ask Lassar to dispel it. She agrees, and the Letter Box reveals Esras' Letters. The letters reveal that Esras and her servant, Colbha, performed numerous letter exchanges which led to the Tragedy of Emain Macha, and that they set up Redire's and Aranwen's "date." Esras apparently decided to seal up the letters instead of destroying them. Redire finds this strange, as the box contains letters both sent and received, rather than just received. He concludes that the servant Colbha is probably now dead.
He then delivers a Locked Small Box to the Milletian by owl, who gets Riocard to open it and extract the contents of the box in exchange for the box itself. The box contains Status Report: Laoch's Activity, revealing that they have been monitoring "Price" for sometime and found out his true identity. Redire is alarmed by this, but continuously finds it odd that Esras has not taken any action.
Later, Redire gives the Milletian a Marionette's Potion to be taken to Dilys to be examined. She explains that the potion is made out of a Fomor Scroll and used as a sedative. Those intoxicated by the potion while unconscious, along with a mixture of herbs and a spell, loses self-control and become possessed. Redire explains he felt something wrong with Laoch during their last encounter a while ago, and believes that Esras possessed him.
The Milletian receives a Fomorian Book, and goes to Kristell to translate it, revealing its context as Tabhartas: the Guardian of Ancient Wisdom. Redire theorizes that Esras may be trying to locate Ancient Wisdom to fulfill a bigger plan, and the Golems of Ceo Island are somehow connected. He also warns the Milletian that his inside advisers are mysteriously vanishing one by one.
Heading over to Seumas to find the origin of the Ceo Island Golems, he explains that Golems are lifeless bodies brought to life with magic and were originally creations of Humanity in order to combat the Fomorians, however the magic within their bodies spiraled out of control and Humans brought up Ceo Island and sealed the Golems there in order to contain them. However, something amiss had stirred up the Golems, and Seumas theorizes that something dangerous or using the bodies as a practice to create something bigger caused their reawakening. Reporting to Redire, he believe these chain of events are linked to Tabhartas.
Redire then tells the Milletian to talk to James, an investigator, to retrieve a document. He also brings up that Colbha, the servant who wrote the letters to Esras, was an alias used by the previous leader before Aodhan, and believes that he became expendable and was eliminated by Esras after gathering evidence.
In any case, James provides information about the currency, Gold, is being used for magical purposes, and passes over his Historical Records. These records reveal discriminating information about Esras. Reporting back to Redire, he reveals that Esras now has her suspicions on Redire and the Milletian.
At the castle of Emain Macha, Esras reveals that she had been monitoring the Milletian for some time and was using them in order to locate Redire. The old Paladin himself appears and Esras quickly rushes to Barri Dungeon. The duo chase after her, and finally catch up. Redire quickly demands Rian, and Esras claims that she has been the Lord of Emain Macha for a extended time. She summons Tabhartas and orders it to crush her enemies. Redire yells for the Milletian to stay by his side.
However, a short battle ensues and Redire's leg is injured. Esras taunts the fallen old Paladin, but he remarks the True Knight of Light is invincible. She then orders Tabhartas to finish him off, but the stomp is blocked by the Milletian. Redire urges the Milletian to retreat, but the Spirit of Order awakens and the Milletian becomes the True Paladin.
Another battle ensures with the Paladin as the victor. Morgant shortly appears and cuts open the head of Tabhartas, revealing Rian. Ruairi shortly follows and Esras accuses the Milletian of killing his brother, and leaves with Morgant who vows vengeance. Redire assures the Milletian that Rian was already dead before he was sacrificed, and Esras reveals that Redire had killed Rian. Redire then learns that Esras had been practicing necromancy.
In the end, the Milletian defeats Esras once and for all. Morrighan appears shortly and informs the Milletian and Redire that the Dark Knights are coming.
