Corrupt Alchemist

Hello, I'm Heledd from the Alchemy Shop in Tara. Please come visit my store. - Heledd

(You seek out Heledd in the Alchemy Shop in Tara.)

Hey, (Character Name)! I was hoping you'd come by. I have a favor to ask of you.
I had obtained a really rare crystal, but this evil alchemist stole it from me. Ugh, it makes me so mad! ...I was wondering if you could get it back for me.
As you know, this is the only place in Tara that carries alchemy items. Knowing the Countess, it's not like I can leave the shop or anything.
................
Fine, I admit that my alchemy skill isn't that great. I want to go and get it back myself but I'm not confident enough, ugh!Sniff. But I can't just sit here and do nothing!
(Character Name), if you get it back for me, I'll give you a precious gift. I promise!
I hear that the alchemist has gone to the Tara Shadow Realm. I got a bad vibe from him, so be careful. If you happen to fail the mission, come back and see me!

(As requested by Heledd, you head to the Stonehenge in Tara and enter the Shadow Realm.)

Shadow Mission: Reclaiming the Memory Crystal

(In Shadow Realm's Tara, you find several enemies waiting for you. You defeat them in order to move deeper into the city.)

(After taking down several enemies, you look around you and see Jenna.)

Jenna (Character Name), it was you. To meet you again in a place like this... This is a strange fate.
...Hmm. If you are looking for the Alchemist in Shadow Realm, it might be related to my activities here.
I've been collecting clues regarding the tragedy in Emain Macha and my father's death. I'm slowly putting together the pieces of my lost childhood memories.
(Character Name), I think we should work together from this point forward... It appears that our paths might cross.

Jenna
I can't seem to remember anything about my father's death.
But I keep getting a suspicious, unpleasant feeling.

> Prompt: Come with me

Jenna
Yes, let's hurry.

Extra Dialogue (Speaking with Jenna again)

Jenna
Let's hurry. Something doesn't seem right.

(You and Jenna move deeper into the city, taking down enemies along the way to the Town Square.)

(A robed alchemist stands in the center of the square.)

Helvetius
I wonder who it was that was tracing my path. Was it you, Jenna? ..This doesn't appear to be our first meeting.

Jenna
How...how did you know my name?

Helvetius
Not many survived the tragedy of Emain Macha.
As I expected, you don't remember anything. ...Loss of memory. Is this the universal fate of all those who suffered the nightmare of that Samhain night?
I was also in a similar state not too long ago. That is, until I recovered my memory using the Memory Crystal.

Jenna
What I want to know is the truth about my father's death.
I heard that you hold the keys to the truth.

Helvetius
The truth... Do you happen to know the other reason why people cover their injuries with bandages? It is because they lack the courage to face their wounds.

(Helvetius assumes a combat stance.)

Helvetius
If you want to know the truth, you must defeat me here and take this Memory Crystal.
But before you make your move, you must ask yourself whether you truly have the courage to face the truth.

(Jenna assumes a combat stance as well.)

(Together with Jenna, you fight against Helvetius. Eventually, you come to defeat him and retrieve the Memory Crystal.)

>On-screen message: When I awoke from my sleep and looked out of the windows with my blurry vision, I saw a red glow of fire and plumes of dark smoke rising into the air.


>On-screen message: The strange mutterings started to spread rapidly, like the plague.

>On-screen message: And strange footsteps grew louder.

>On-screen message: I heard my father's voice trembling.

>On-screen message: A cold hand...


>On-screen message: I think I grabbed my father's cold, shaky hands, and came down the stairs.

>On-screen message: When I opened the back door, I was taken aback by the intense heat.


> On-screen message: A shadow was following us. I could hear it.

>On-screen message: ...I heard my father's scream

>On-screen message: and watched him fall to the ground.

>On-screen message: Who knows how much time passed, but when I came to...


> On-screen message: the Lymilark Temple Knights were fighting the Shadow.

>On-screen message: Collen... This was my first meeting with Collen.

Thank you so much. I'm so glad I got this rare alchemy crystal back. The Memory Alchemy Crystal is created by using alchemy to synthesize the Connous Memorial Tower Fragment. It is a crystal that can restore or erase a person's memory, and I was worried that it was being used for evil purposes. Anyway, thank you. I'll give you a reward.
My gift to you is a new Alchemy skill. It changes the property of a metal or ore... you've probably never heard of it. I bet that even the nerdy Eabha doesn't know this skill, hehe. I learned this skill from a famous alchemist. He once stopped by the shop, so I begged him to teach me.
My other combat-type skills are quite lacking. But at least I'm good at sticking with one thing. I also like making money as well, hehe. This skill helped me a great deal while I trained my Refining and Blacksmith skill.
Let me give you some instructions! You know the four essential alchemy elements, right? Water, fire, wind, and earth. Well, all objects are said to be a mixture of those four elements. The ratio of the elements within an object determines what type of metal or ore it happens to be.
So, by masterfully manipulating the elements that already exist in an object, you can easily transmute it to something completely different. Just input the attribute of your desired metal, and just like that, you have that very metal.
I hope it will come in handy for you, (Character Name!) And please! Make sure to tell everyone that it was me, Heledd, who taught you the skill. After all, I can't brag about myself, hehe...
