The Elf's Request

Talk to Granat

[You go over to the Elf Headquarters in Taillteann to respond to Granat's message.]

Granat

Castanea, the leader of the Elves, has been asking for you.
If you've never been to the Elven town of Filia, you should head over to Qilla Base Camp and request assistance from other humans.
Any experienced adventurer should be able to guide you.

  • End Conversation

Talk to Castanea

[By Granat's instructions, you head to Filia to talk to Castanea.]

Castanea

Thank you for coming.
I have a request.
Granat recently told me about the General in Taillteann, named Andras.

  • Continue

Please deliver this letter to her for me.
Once she receives the letter... Well, the rest is up to her.

  • OK

Please take care.

Deliver the Letter to Andras

[You return to Taillteann to bring the letter to Andras.]

Andras

Greetings, CharacterName. What brings you...

  • Continue

A letter from Castanea, the leader of the Elves?

  • Continue

(As Andras reads the letter, her eyes dart around, like she's nervous.)

  • Continue

If anyone asks, I will deny ever reading this letter.
I am under orders of the Aliech Royal Regime!
I must avoid this type of unofficial contact.

  • End Conversation

Talk to Castanea

[You go back to Filia to inform Castanea about Andras' response to the letter.]

Castanea

Aah, Granat found the right person for the job.
I'm sorry I can't tell you more about what's going on
but I'd like to request one more favor.

  • Continue

Place this arrow at the Desert Ruins Altar, and you will find a fragment of the Memory Tower at the end of the tunnel.
Please retrieve that for me.

  • Continue

Thank you. Please take care.

[As requested, you place Castanea's Emerald Arrow on the Longa Desert Ruins altar. You are then whisked into the dungeon. As you defeat the enemies present in each room, you eventually come upon the Boss Room. After you crush the remaning enemies, you open up the reward chest at the end to find the Memory Tower Fragment, then you leave.]

Deliver the Memory Tower Fragment to Castanea

[With the Memory Tower Fragment on you, you return to Castanea.]

Castanea

Elves share each others' memories through the Memory Tower.
CharacterName, it's probably difficult for you to understand how something formless can be contained in a tangible item,
but do not think too much of it.

  • Continue

CharacterName, the fragment that you've brought back is a portion of the Memory Tower, a piece of a lost memory.

  • Continue

(A slight smile appears on Castanea's face, then disappears just as quickly.)

  • Continue

I think the time has come.
It is time for Andras to face the truth.
Please deliver this fragment to her.

  • Continue

Andras's memory is inscribed inside.
Through it, she will be able to accept her destiny.

  • End Conversation

Show the Memory Tower Fragment to Andras

[By Castanea's instructions, you head to Taillteann and bring the Memory Tower Fragment to Andras.]

Andras

Memory Tower Fragment? What's that?

  • Continue

(You hand the Memory Tower Fragment to Andras.))

  • Continue

Andras' memory as a baby from the Memory Tower

Andras

Aaah, aaah...!

  • Continue

This is...
too confusing.
I need to be alone.
Just give me some time to process this.

  • End Conversation

Andras' Past

Talk to Andras

[Just as she asked, you leave Andras to her thought for some time. When you receive her request, you return to her once more.]

Andras

You've returned.
All this time, I fooled myself into believing I was human, despite my physical form,
and yet, I'm an Elf. I can't hide from it.

  • Continue

Thanks to you I have recovered vague memories of my childhood
and how I ended up living among humans...

  • Continue

I remember...a human druid.
Tafney, I think.
That is now another memory to chase.

  • Continue

I remember other things...
Wandering. Feeling completely alone in the world.
These memories are...difficult...to bear.

  • Continue

Please take this arrow.
Experience my memories.
Perhaps, CharacterName, you will be able to understand me...

[Upon initiating conversation with Andras without having completed the RP dungeon]

Andras

You've lost the Memorial Item.
I will give it to you again. Be careful this time.

  • End Conversation

Clear Andras' RP

[You place Elatha's Arrow Chain on the altar of Rabbie Dungeon, then you are whisked into Andras' memory.]

[Cutscene]

Onscreen Message: Look at those huge ears.

I'm sure she's a Fomor...!

[Outside of Rabbie Dungeon, Andras looks towards all the children surrounding her.]

Onscreen Message: Monster! Monster! Monster...!

[The children begin to [[Actions#Rock_Throwing|throw rocks at Andras, forcing her to run into the dungeon for shelter. The other children attempt to follow her.]

[End of Cutscene]

[As Andras, you make your way through the long dungeon, defeating any enemies that stand in your way. Very soon, you find the Boss Room.]

[Cutscene]

[Andras walks into the Boss Room, observing the setting. She stumbles upon a Lycanthrope. The Lycanthrope, poised to kill her, raises its claws and begins to perform Smash as Andras closes her eyes in fear. However, Elatha defeats the creature. Andras opens her eyes again and observes him.]

Andras

I didn't want any help...
You should have just left me to die...

  • Continue

Elatha

I was only pursuing my own quest.
It had nothing to do with you.

  • Continue

But isn't it too early for you to be
roaming the shadows?

  • Continue

Andras

It doesn't matter.
No one cares about me anyway.
No one likes me. No one...

  • Continue

I look strange with these big ears.
What else would people call me other than
a monster?

  • Continue

[Andras moves away just a bit to inspect the fallen Lycanthrope.]

Andras

It might have been better for me
if I had just been eaten alive by the Fomors.

  • Continue

Elatha

It isn't easy to control your destiny.
If it were,
a lot of things wouldn't be what they are today.

  • Continue

I know it's painful,
but you must get through this.

  • Continue

I'm sure you'll find an answer
to your destiny somewhere...

  • Continue

[End of Cutscene]

Talk to Andras

[Having viewed her memory, you return to Andras.]

Andras

CharacterName, what do you think?

[Choice Fork]

  • What is most important is today
  • Without a past, there is no today

  • What is most important is today

Andras

Yes, you are right.
It's foolish to agonize over something that can't be changed.

  • Without a past, there is no today

Andras

Yes... Hmm...
My past experiences make up who I am now.
An interesting concept...
I cannot live in the present if I continue to deny the past.
The scars are still there, but they will make me stronger.
