Abb Neagh

From Mabinogi World Wiki
(Redirected from Lake Neagh)
An overview of Abb Neagh.

Description and Geography

Map of Abb Neagh.

A region that connects Dunbarton and Taillteann.

A byway of Rabbie Dungeon leads to Abb Neagh, a picturesque scenery of wildflowers surrounding a beautiful lake where you can leisurely enjoy fishing. You can also reach Taillteann from Abb Neagh.[1]

Abb Neagh is a passageway between Dunbarton and Taillteann. It is well-known for its lake in the center of the map, which is a famous fishing spot. However, within Lake Neagh lies an infamous, powerful monster by the name of Neid, who presumably kills and/or drowns fishermen patrolling its lake.

Trivia

  • The simmering cauldron in the Bard camp does not count as a source of fire for Cooking.
  • Abb Neagh is a combination of the word abha (meaning river) and the word neagh (from nEachach, meaning of Eachaidh's).
    • Eachaidh and Eochaid are versions of an Irish name, which was derived from each (meaning horse).
      • Many kings had the name Eachaidh or a variant of it, although one prominent one was Eochaid Ollathair (also known as the Dagda).
    • While there is a real-world Loch nEathach in Ireland, none of its rivers are named Neagh.
      • In contrast, Scotland's Loch Ness does have a river named Ness.
      • Neid is based off of the Loch Ness Monster, which was first reported in the River Ness.
