Help Blaanid recover her lost memories with the revamped Memoir questline! Obtain new rewards, level up your character, and train your skills as you proceed through your journey in Erinn.
The Memory Book is a game system that helps beginner players to become familiar with Mabinogi's mechanics and systems. It offers multiple rewards and many various boosts to help character growth.

  • Each Memoir showcases a different part of the game.
    • Note: Some beginner benefits, for instance the shorter Rebirth cooldowns and free warp cost using the Traveler’s Guide will not be accessible anymore beyond Cumulative Level 10,000.
    • The benefits for doing the Memory Book typically outweight any other type of beginner benefit.
  • Compared to the older version of this game system, the content has been enhanced with QoL features, such as:
    • Warp and Tip options for certain quests from the memory book
    • New images to better explain content
    • New equipment and weapons as rewards for quest progression
    • Korean Voice-over dialogue for Blaanid and new BGM
      • Voice volume is off by default. You can turn it on by accessing the System > Sound options window.
    • Blaanid will give you various tips and guidance throughout the questline.
      • Her tips will also be found under the 'System' chat.

Notes:

  • If you obtained the Blaanid Whistle prior to the update, you cannot obtain a new one from this content.
  • If you obtained the Blossoming equipement and weapons prior to the Next:New Beast update of 2022, you will obtain them again.

Blaanid's Brave Boost

With the new Blaanid's Brave Boost quests, you can level up quickly and earn AP!

  • Completing the Memory Book content will bring a new character's Cumulative Level up to 20,000.
  • If your cumulative level is less than 20,000, completing Blaanid's Brave Boost quests will grant extra cumulative levels and AP.
  • Characters over level 20,000 will receive 1/5th of the value of levels and AP when completing Memoir quests.
    • This effect is applied only with the experience obtained through Blaanid's Brave Boost quests. AP is earned at a fixed rate of 1, regardless of the use of items that affect the amount AP that can be earned.

The Brave Boost information
A Tip for a quest.
  • In order to start the Memory Book, you must have completed the beginner quests up to Strange Signs.
  • After clearing the first quest, A Blue Fragrance on the Wind, you will gain acceess to the Memory Book.
  • Click on the Character icon on the bottom bar of your screen, then click on Blaanid's brave boost to bring up the Memory book.
  • Not all quests have the Tip, Location Check, or Warp options.
  • The warp option may only be used once per quest requirement.
  • You cannot access a Memory Book that is further ahead than your current one.
  • You cannot see quests in advance, but you can see those already completed.

Changes as of the NEXT:New Beast Update

  • Some of the Rebirth Potions that were rewarded during the Memoir quests have been changed to the Talent Coupon item.
    • Talent Coupons can be used to change your currently active combat or life talent without requiring a Rebirth.
  • Essential items and Blaanid’s weapons are now provided early on, and you can acquire additional skills of various talents to help you in battle by progressing through the Memoirs.
  • When you clear Memory Book 1, 2, and 3, you can acquire 3 Doll Bag Box items.
  • When you clear Memory Book 2, you can acquire the Memorial Link skill.
    • This skill is only available for characters who do not have the Divine Link skill, and will disappear when Divine Link is acquired.
    • This skill is a lesser version of Divine Link.
  • When you clear Memory Book 4, you can acquire the Support Bone Dragon Whistle item.
  • The Blaanid’s Brave Boost notification banner will not be displayed on the menu bar at the bottom of the screen anymore.

Blaanid's Blessing

  • Blaanid’s Blessing is obtained each time the player progresses through the Memory book.
  • Blessing Effects do not overlap and the effect is applied to the character by the highest Stage.
  • The Blessing can be set in Character Info > Additional Info > Blaanid’s Blessing to switch the Halo effect above the character.
  • The Recall Book allows you to register a specified location similar to the Warp Imp pet's ability.
  • Blaanid’s Blessing unlocks the following effects at each stage:

This is the first volume of a series in which we'll record our adventures! I've been by myself for so long that I'm really excited to be traveling with you!
I'm going to record everything we do and learn in this book, so you can always look things up if you need a refresher on the finer points of life in Erinn. (Remember, you can open this book using the default hotkey ') In the Table of Contents, you can see the progress of each chapter at a glance, and can click a button to go to a page that has information on a quest that's in progress!
In addition, if you click the red Table of Contents index under the Memoir, you can jump back to the page with the book's description and Table of Contents anytime you want.
Lastly, I've imbued this book with some of my power. If you click the wing-shaped icon shown on a quest in progress, we can travel to the place we need to go right away... but only 1 time per quest.     • This White Dragon won't summon its minions nor fly up, and has significantly less HP than its usual raid version (~22,000 HP).

  • You will be rewarded a Full Recovery Potion (Event) (7 Days) and Blaanid's Equipment Support Box x10.

  • Blaanid's memories will be transferred to the Memorial Flower Outfit; just perform an upgrade and reforging 1 time each.
  • You will receive the Memorial Flower Outfit once again, but this time pre-upgraded and Enchanted with Encore and Champion enchants .
    • The Reforge on it will disappear.

Trivia

  • The Memory Book contents have been revamped twice.
  • Prior to the NEXT:New Beast update, the Memory book aimed to bring characters to a Cumulative level of 5,000.
  • Whenever you completed a quest, you would receive a Rebirth Potion (Lv. 5000 and below) if below 5,000.
  • You were also meant to rebirth manually each time to fully make use of the EXP given.
  • The fourth memoir used to be entirely tied to training skills. The Blossoming weapons were only received when the related skills would be ranked accordingly. See here for more information.
    • The Red Spider in Aranwen's training was removed, possibly as part of the arachnophobia mode.
    • Walter used to talk about Gold Bags. This was prior to the Gold bag and Gold box revamp.
    • Special Care with Manus required to take care of the animals for 2 minutes.
    • Second Memoir's quests Be Brave and Be Delighted were switched.
    • A Place for Festivals quest was removed from Book 2.
    • During The Source of the Letter I, you required 5 Hazelnut Mushrooms to give to Glenis in exchange for Frog Leg. This part of the quest was removed.
    • During The Source of the Letter II, the Quest Collect 5 Black Armadillo Claws was replaced by Defeat 10 Big-eared Aardvaks.
  • The amount of Taitinn carps required to give to tracy were lowered from 2 to 1.
  • The inspiration count required for Stewart's magic training were lowered from 3 to 1.
