Blocks offensive Ice magic spells such as Icebolt and Ice Spear. Casting this skill shields you and others with a magic sphere which blocks the magic spells while allowing attacks from the inside. Your Defense increases in proportion to the number of these shields overlapping each other.

Details
- Causes a spherical magical shield barrier to appear around the user, reducing Ice Magic and Water Alchemy damage done to the user and anyone within the area of effect.
- The following skills are reduced by the barrier:
- Players within the barrier will not be stunned by ice-based magic.
- Those behind the barrier will be protected in the same manner.
- If the enemy is already located within the barrier when it uses an ice spell, the attack will not be affected by the shield.
- Those outside the barrier will be protected by shield, as the spell must pass through the shield to reach them moving the opposite direction.
- In addition, players cannot attack enemies from within the area of effect with ice spells.
- The caster cannot move or do anything while the barrier is up.
- However if the caster is struck by any attack other than ice spells, even if the caster does not fall back, the shield will cancel.
- If Ice Spear is used, the spell will not freeze those within the barrier. Instead, the target will receive the damage directly as if hit by a bolt.
- The more Ice Shields overlap, the less damage Ice/Water attacks will do.
- Can be used during Windmill's animation.
- Rank F Ice Shield is a prerequisite to obtain the quest for learning Hail Storm.

Obtaining the Skill
- Talk to Kousai with Rank F or higher Natural Shield while carrying a Restored White Crystal Orb in your inventory.
- A Restored White Crystal Orb is obtained by using L-Rod Exploration around Cor. It appears hidden as a 2x2 excavated artifact that must be appraised and restored.
- Kousai can tell you if an appraised orb will produce a Restored White Crystal Orb.
Training Method
- In order to satisfy the "Successfully block Ice attacks with Ice Shields on your allies" training requirement, you must be the one hit by Ice-Based attacks with your shield up, in addition to having someone else's shield up at the same time and overlapping yours.
Tips
- Training can be quickly acquired through Hot-Air Ballooning near the Calida Camp against the Ice Wyverns.
- An easy method to train this skill is by using the Cerberus that spawn in the Fomor Attack Shadow Mission. However, they randomly use all four elements, making this training method less reliable.
