Guard Cylinder Mastery

Description

This skill increases the efficiency and Criticals of every Alchemy skill when you are equipped with both a Cylinder and a Guard Cylinder. It won't be as effective if you equip only a Guard Cylinder.

Details

• Passively increases minimum and maximum Alchemy Damage when using a Guard Cylinder.
  • When equipped along with a regular Cylinder, Critical is increased in addition to the Alchemy Damage increase.
    • Bonuses from Guard Cylinder Mastery still applies if the cylinder is broken.
• When a guard cylinder is equipped without a regular cylinder, alchemy damage is reduced based on this skill's rank.
• Ranking Guard Cylinder Mastery to 3 fulfills a quest objective for learning Hydra Transmutation.

Obtaining the Skill

• Create or rebirth a character and select the Vates Talent to be the active talent.
  • Requires an Ace, Hero, or Elite Hero Character Card.

Training Method

Tips

• "Be attacked by an enemy with a guard cylinder equipped" will apply to your own Barrier Spikes.
• A broken Guard Cylinder will still count towards "Take attacks while using a Guard Cylinder." and "After equipping a Guard Cylinder‚ block attacks with the Defense skill."
• An easy way to train the "Attack an enemy with alchemy with a guard cylinder equipped" method would be to use Flame Burst on a group of Zombie Soldiers found in Their Method.
• Shock does not count for "Attack an enemy with alchemy with a guard cylinder equipped".
• For Giants, using Wind Guard counts for both "Be attacked by an enemy with a guard cylinder equipped" and "After equipping a Guard Cylinder‚ block attacks with the Defense skill" methods.
