This technique channels a great deal of chi to damage nearby enemies. With enough time, the damage and area of effect can be very impressive.
|
Details
- Requires a shuriken equipped in order to use.
- Summons a large array of cherry blossom petals that damages all enemies around the user.
- Can be charged, increasing the skill's attack radius (indicated by the pink circle below the user) and damage. Charge count is indicated by the number right next to the skill bubble.
- Charging requires the player to hold down the skill key, then release to attack.
- Damage is calculated as
[(Base Damage) * Skill Multiplier * (Number of Charges / 5) * Critical Modifier - Enemy Defense] * (1 - Enemy Protection)
.
- Radius is calculated as
300 + (# of Charges × 20)
.
- Each enemy receives up to five hits, regardless of number of charges.
- Critical calculation is separate for each hit.
- Each hit consumes Durability while increasing Proficiency.
- Enemies hit will not aggressively aggro the user.
- The user may not move while the skill is loaded.
- Ignores the target's Protection when calculating critical rate.
- Enabling Mini Effects will cause the cherry blossoms to become invisible.
- Triggers Heavy Stander.
- Because the damage dealt by this skill is divided into multiple hits, if the skill finishes a wave of enemies, it is possible for the remaining hits to damage enemies from the next wave as well.
Skill Issue
- Sakura Abyss occasionally fails to activate after charging and releasing the skill button. It will not trigger cooldown, however.

Obtaining the Skill
Training Method
- "Use the skill." requires a hittable target in order to fulfill training.
- "Get a Critical Hit while attacking." can be trained multiple times, provided the critical hits are not in succession.
Tips
- Bachram Boost makes Sakura Abyss usable again.
- It is much easier to fully charge Sakura Abyss using Lullaby.
- Shadow Cast City and Lingering Darkness have close enough spawns to hit multiple enemies.
- For Lingering Darkness, Barrier Spike waves will easily fulfill multiple enemies due to the spawns being in close proximity with each other.
- Barrier Spikes in Provocation can be used as targets. Due to their extremely high HP, it may be possible to land multiple critical hits.
- Setting up your own barrier spikes along with barrier spikes in provocation do fulfill requirements that need a specific amount of enemies to attack.
- A high ranked Lullaby may help keep monsters in place while charging the skill to fill a large area.
- Act 6: Crisis or the Little Hopper's Hop In can help pull in nearby monsters into range.
- Be wary of invulnerability frames caused by either of these skills before executing Sakura Abyss.
- Sulfur Spiders of the Shadow Realm can greatly help with skilling up Sakura Abyss as the enemies are close together.
- Lullaby may be needed for this to prevent the enemies from scattering out of the ring.
- Baltane Missions such as Siege Weapon and Knights of the Round Table is an excellent way to rank up Sakura Abyss from Rank 4 to 1, as all the enemies are in close proximity of each other.
- There are multiple Corpses in the middle of Avalon Gate in Knights of the Round Table.
