Fynni Catching

Description

The Fynni are a type of fairy that freely roam the lands of Erinn. Although generally weak, some among them have taken to inhabiting the bodies of animals and monsters, with many subsequently finding themselves unable to escape. A Fynni trapped within the body of a monster for too long is a detriment to both its host and itself. However, someone able to wield the power of the Fynn can extract these trapped Fynni from their unfortunate situation. 'Fynni Catching' is a skill that draws out trapped Fynni in the form of Fynni Gems. The type and strength of the Fynni within these gems depends on the monster it was taken from. Monsters that contain a Fynni can be distinguished based on whether the Fynni Gem is visible.

Details

Fynni Catching is the skill given to user possessing the power of the Fynn to unleash the Fynni, a fairy, inside an animal or monster. The Fynni is released when defeated monster explodes into a spiral of "glittering" light, dropping a Fynni Gem. The Fynni Gem can be used to blossom a Fynni Pet Whistle via Fynni Blossoming, or sold to Fionnait. Only certain monsters have the gems, labeled ingame with a Fynni Gem above their name, within them, which are listed on the Taming Journal.

• A small portion of Exploration experience is gained whenever a Fynni Gem drops from a monster.
  • The amount of experience gained varies on the grade of the gem.

Obtaining the Skill

• Obtained during the "Peculiar Children" questline.

Objectives	Talk to Heulfryn at the Qilla Base Camp The player will be the asked: "Ask what he needs" and "Say you understand" Defeat 5 Capybaras in the Calida region Talk to the Small Child She will be under a tree in front of the Calida Exploration Camp The player will be asked: "(Offer greeting.)" and "(Stare silently at her.)" Talk to the Child again while a pet is summoned Talk to the Child once more The player will be asked to enter the Shadow Mission by clicking "(Listen to what Pinkie has to say.)(Enter Mission)" or decline by clicking "..." Obtain the Capybara's Fynni Gem The Shadow Mission will be at the same location of Calida. It has no time limit. The player should only target the Capybaras with a floating orb above them. After a short time, the orb will disappear. The player can get more gems than the required amount. The player can talk to Pinkie to end the mission. The player has a prescribed option of using: Smash, Windmill, Counter, and Crisis Escape on their F1 to F4 keys. The only other skill the player can use are Defense, and the option of the passive skills Combat Mastery and Critical Hit. Inside the player's inventory there will be: 20 vials of HP 500 Potion SE, MP 500 Potion SE, Stamina 500 Potion SE, and Wound Remedy 500 Potion SE; 5 vials of Light Physical Power Potion (2 Hours), and Light Magic Power Potion (2 Hours); 3 vials of Speed Walk Potion 40% (30 min) Deliver 5 Capybara Fynni Gems to Pinkie

Additional Information	The player will also receive 5 Capybara Fur After completing the quest the player will be surrounded by falling petals. Putting on a different Title, doing a Part-Time Job nor any other Transformation will not remove the effect.
