Description

Rare cuisines depend on hard-to-find ingredients from the wild and beyond. But you must be able to recognize a quality ingredient to pick it out from the chaff! The art of Ingredient Hunting will make these easier to spot, and gives you an eye for good leather as a bonus!

Details

• Passively causes certain monsters to have a chance to drop ingredients and leather. See Ingredient Hunting/Drop List for a list of items dropped through Ingredient Hunting.
• These drops are separate from regular drop lists. Although monsters may drop ingredients or leather in their main drop list, their drop rates are unaffected by this skill.
  • For example, a monster that normally drops Common Leather may also drop Cheap Leather from their leather drop table.
  • Killing field monsters barehanded and other anti-bot measures do not prevent these from dropping.
• Ingredients dropped are not obtainable from elsewhere.
• Rank 9 Ingredient Hunting is required to use the Unified Might Technique.
• The drop rate of leather is heavily weight towards cheap/common leather around 99% of leather drops from ingredient hunting.
  • Fine Leather drops at around .99%, while Finest Leather is around .1% drop rate

• Create or rebirth a character and select the Culinary Artist Talent to be the active talent.
  • Requires an Ace, Hero, or Elite Hero Character Card.

An Eye for Ingredients

How to Get Quest	Reach Rank F in Tasting.

That's where Ingredient Hunting comes into play. You'll need to earn Tasting Rank D and Cooking Rank 9 before you can really get an eye for good ingredients, but it will all worth it! - Caitin

Training Method

• "Hunt monsters to collect items." can be trained with any item dropped from the monster, excluding Gold, Dungeon Keys, and Fomor Command Scrolls.
• "Hunt monsters to collect ingredients." can only be trained when an item from the Drop List is dropped.
• An efficient way to rank Ingredient Hunting is by killing monsters with a frequent drop rate. One method includes killing a Brown Fox in Tir Chonaill for they have high drop rates in items.
• Another monster would be a White Spider in Tir Chonaill's graveyard.
  • Be wary that anti-botting measures will cause drop rates to decline if you hunt in the same area for extended periods of time, similar to camping penalties.
• A fast and efficient training method is doing the Saga: Iria's Ep. 1 quest "Black-Tailed Mongoose's White Tail". The mongooses have an incredibly high drop rate of items and as long as one doesn't advance through the saga, the quest can be endlessly repeated.
