  • Chain Casting is a passive ability which allows one to produce multiple charges of Magic with one casting.
    • An Upgraded or Classic Spirit Wand can Chain Cast between 1 to 4 additional charges of the three individual Bolt Spells.
    • Spirit Ascension Wands gain the ability to Chain Cast 2 additional charges of Fusion Bolt upon unlocking Ultimate Wand under the Exclusive enhancement tree.
    • Spirit Ascension Staves gain the ability to Chain Cast 2 additional charges of the three intermediate magic skills upon unlocking Ultimate Staff under the Exclusive enhancement tree.
    • Dark Diviner grants the ability to Chain Cast 1 additional charge of Fusion Bolt and intermediate magic at Link 6, and a second additional charge at Link 9.
      • This applies to any magic weapon.
      • The effect from Spirit Wands and Staves will stack with Dark Diviner's link effects, making it possible to load all five charges of Fusion Bolt and intermediate magic with one casting.
  • When casting, the amount of Mana used will depend on how many charges are to be cast.
    • Mana use will be accelerated so that the required Mana is consumed during the casting duration.
    • If you have cast 4 charges and Chain Cast 2 or more charges, you will only lose Mana for the cost of 1 charge.
    • If you have no charges and Chain Cast 2 or more charges, you will lose Mana for every charge casted.[1]
    • Chain Casting can be used if the user has at least one charge's worth one MP, even if not the MP required for five charges. For example, if 7 MP is required for one charge and 35 MP for five charges, any amount of MP above 7 will suffice.
  • When Chain Casting, you may cast various amounts of charges, depending on your Wand's Chain Cast level.[2]
    • A maximum of +4 charges may be Chain Cast at any one time.
  • Your Upgraded or Classic Spirit Wand will only allow Chain Casting of that wand's Element.
  • Classic Spirit Wands will gain 1 Chain Cast for every 5 Social Levels until it reaches level 21, with level 6 having +1 Chain Casts, level 11 with +2, 16 with +3, and 21 +4.
  • Chain Casting cancels the MP Reduction effect of all Elemental Masteries, but not the effect of Magic Weapon Mastery..

  1. When chain casting Icebolt, the MP cost of all charges will be based on the charge you are currently casting. For example, if you have Chain Casting +4 and you currently have no charges, you will pay the full Mana cost for all five charges instead of each charge getting progressively cheaper.
  2. If you have a Wand with chain casting on it, you will always cast the number of charges equal to 1 + the wand's chain casting level. As long as the wand has chain casting and is the right element, you will always chain cast, there is no chance involved.
