- People ask me if I made these clothes myself.
Yes, I made these. I learned how to make clothes at a young age... But I am still not very good at it after all these years... This one, I made the mistake of making my top a size too small. I should have made it looser... This isn't very comfortable.

- You can easily learn and make cheap clothes, but expensive clothes cost too much to make. The material cost is no joke! But then again, you can sell them at a higher price...so I guess it evens out..
If you just want to raise your skill level fast, you should sign up for a part-time job at the Clothing Shop. They provide you with all the materials, so it's a great deal.

You just need a Tailoring Kit to use the Tailoring skill. Anyone can use the skill as long as they have a kit with them. It's not difficult at all. You will, however, need various materials, such as fabric and sewing patterns to make anything. Ask Nora at the Inn for materials.

You could probably receive a lot of help from Caitin. Why don't you go and visit her? She is always at the Grocery Store. I'm telling you she's always there because some people wander into the field and ask the shepherd boy where she is. I'm serious, some people did that before.

- Lepus is quite skilled, but this recent shipment of clothing of Uladh is of such noteworthy quality that I can't help but draw comparisons.
Even to someone as fashion-blind as myself, it’s obvious the clothing of Uladh is both stylish and practical. I recently purchased an outfit for my daughter from among those shipments, in fact. If I had any knack of handicrafts, I would've liked to sew her an outfit myself. It’s a shame that I wasn't able to.
- I’ve been trying to teach myself some sewing and tailoring basics. How to shorten sleeves, how to sew a button back on--things like that.
The professionals make it look easy, but it really isn't. I’ve stuck myself in the fingers more times than I can count. But still, I've managed to make some progress. My daughter is a little smaller than her peers, so everything she wears ends up being a little too long or baggy on her. Something about seeing those sleeves covering up most of her hand makes my heart ache.

Look at my own clothing. Neither dignity nor form have been traded for aesthetics, and it's even quite warm. The clothing of Vales is far too crude and rugged for my tastes.

- I managed to pick up the basics just from observing the tailors back when I worked that part-time job at the clothing shop.
Me, I worked the register, so I didn't get to sew or dye any clothing myself. But Sayiv did both, so she's far better at it than I am.
- There's really no avoiding learning how to sew once you spend enough time on a ship. You have to mend your wind-torn clothes pretty often, as it turns out.
I wish Sayiv noticed what a sensitive and hard-working guy I am... but I'm glad at least YOU realize it, (Character Name)! Haha!

- When it comes to clothes, I have to say that functionality is just as, if not more, important than the design. I mean, it is first and foremost meant for protecting our bodies afterall.
In a rough and wild environment such as Iria, it is absolutely imperative that your clothing can protect your body from scrapes and wounds as well as help adjust to the temperature changes in your environment.

- Hahhhh... I don't know about a man sitting in some little corner sewing like some fool. Not exactly a flattering look you know. A real man should hold a big hoe or a manly weapon and be collecting artifacts or catching monsters...
...But... yea, it's a bit of a waste to not use a skill that you've learned from when you were young... Arrrrrgh.

- You’re familiar with Tre'imhse Cairde, right? It’s smaller than the Erskin Emporium in Tara, but it’s a fantastic boutique. The quality is absolutely top-shelf!
The owner's embroidery skills are reputed to be the best in the Kingdom of Aliech. It’s not just talk, either. I've seen their products coming into Iria in merchant caravans many times. The distinctive patterns embroidered in such a way that they both complement and highlight the fabric's natural characteristics are like works of art. Some of their pieces are breathtaking. I'm going to beg my dad to get me a custom-made dress from there for my birthday.
- I can turn out an apron or a head scarf on my own, easy. That's a piece of cake!
