I'm sure they'll fit me one day, since I'm still far from full-grown. That's the main reason I'm not wearing the standard uniform of the Society. That said, there's no rule that requires us to wear the uniform all the time.
- Before I went to work at the Society, I had only worn dresses. Our family receives a great many visitors and maintains an active social calendar, so a lot of time and attention is spent on style and appearance.
I would wear long-sleeved dresses with elaborate embroidery, grilly lace bonnets, and fancy corsages over my chest. We even had a maid whose primary job was to style my hair.
It felt good to wear nice clothes all the time, but I always felt like we wasted so much time just keeping up appearances. There were other things I wanted to do besides socializing...
Once my job here is done, I'll likely return to my life back home. Perhaps we'll see each other again as I go back and forth between my house and the Royal Castle.
